Why though? a 1.9 205 GTI engine is 113bhp? 15bhp more than a Mk2 VTR engine?

If you going for a engine conversion look into the 2.0 MI16 out of the likes of the Pug 406 :)

look up jackman
vts lump in a 205 rallye
some 205s came with a tu in as standard so the bolt in fine
the gti ect im unsure as i think the mounts differ to the lower tu models but dont quote me on that

1.9 was 130bhp
1.6 was 105 or 110 age depending.

the 205 rallye was a tu engine hense jackman being able to fit a vts lump. I think the 1.9 gti is an XU? so the lower mount is slightly different. Well im asuming this after fitting a gti-6 in my old 205

I'm not sure on the GTi's!

I'm pretty sure all the hubs etc are different!

My lower gearbox mounts is slightly different to that of a Saxo/106!

But you can get a VTR engine in a 205 Rallye/XS

I'd fit the 205 xs engine or a 106 rallye engine. The handling will be very nice with the alloy blocks. They have better gear ratios too.

1.6 GTis are XU too, pretty different engine layout to saxos, the manifold is behind the engine instead of infront
