I recently got made redundant, and have now managed to find another job without loosing out on to much money! With my redundancy payout im looking at possibly going for bodies!?

I know of AT power and Jenvey been on the scene! Can anyone really enlighten me as which direction is best to go down, What sort of spec i should look at?

Cheers Guys

hi mate , im using the AT power bodies on my vts and they are brilliant. being all one piece makes fitting a doddle :) the flow rate are meant to be matching the jenveys , if not better. but its up to you at the end of the day , www.kamracing.com are doing the jenvey kits for around the 950 mark i think, so the same as the AT powers roughly. imo i would go for AT bodies as these seem to be in with the saxo / pug range at the moment and are getting very popular :)

hope this helps you out

Personally I'd suggest waiting, though you may have got another job, you still have a probationary period to go through, wait until they give you a full on contract and then consider buying, If you loose this Job and made redundant or similar again, at least you got some money, at present they're saying there's 1 in 5 passed/grad students without a job.

well depends as AT power will be easier to fit and go, as for the jenvey bit more work involed but both good bodies!

Either are just as good, personly jenvey would be my choice as its just a more known and longer estabilished company but AT are doing very well.

My jenveys bolted straight on, albeit with some scuttle choppage, balancing them up and reining the back face of the filter/backplate down a bit :p

IMHO keep the money to one side until you're settled in your new job and have income for the forseeable future! There's no rush to buy bodies, I'd think about your future first before spinning £1k on TBs

sound straight forward haha

well put it this way i think from parking my cars at andy's (datashift) to leaving with the bodies on and the ecu mapped was a total of 4 hours!

that was taking old inlet off, and putting on the bodies sorting the fuel rail out and then mapping!

so very easy to fit in my eye's.

but yer jenvey got the better name, and don't think they would be too hard though.

In the end yes it is up to him, but I'm just saying to consider the possibility.

Nothing wrong with either brand. Both will see similar power gains. The AT ones are able to run a smaller diameter throttlebody due to their design of throttleplate.

cheers for the input guys, its not going to be a decision i make striaght away as like said, its a lot of money to splash out, i would be able to do it now, but if i did and then lost my job it would be some of my savings down the drain so to speak.

i will think about it, i was just curious as to what people thought, its seems at are very good for the money!!
