on the duals?? we don't condone racing - and you won't really get any people replying as its been asked a thousand times before plus facts and figures mean nothing between them two cars, and plus most of it is down to the drivers and you two = crashing

Im assuming your refering to a MK5 ZS? Its been said OVER and OVER and OVER and OVER and OVER and OVER and OVER and OVER and OVER and OVER and OVER again.

But they are spec'ed very similarly. The Fiesta has the extra 8v's, but the Saxo has the weight advantage. Im not sure about the Fiesta's gear ratios.
But all in all they are nearly identical performance wise.

But the Fiesta is a much better base for mods imo!

Chances are hes a little wanabe boyracer so you can tell him 0-60 a zetec s is slower.
How much depends on what model/year it is. if daddy's bought him an 05+ its just under 10 seconds not exactly quick. If its older its slower. I think a vtr mk2 is 9.4.
If hes been driving 2 weeks his lack of driving experience means hes at that stage where he thinks hes the tits but has no ability to back up his bullshit. Go go-karting and see how he does.

the zetec-s and VTR are literally identical in speed acceleration etc.... a couple of my mates owned these cars and raced many a time being very childish and immature and they always always came out neck and neck no matter what they done... the zs driver was also the slightly better driver....
but as everyone else says its not worth it your not a pair of formula 1 drivers you own a saxo vtr and a zs theyre not super cars!! haha:y:

I had a mk2 vtr, my mate with a 51 plate zetec s. We raced up a 1/4 mile dual carraigeway (sp) and he just got the edge over me.

Zetecs is a very nippy wee car for what they are and seriously surprised me....

i have mk2 vtr and i also have a fiesta mk5 aswell and i would say they are just the same all around apart from a bit of better handling from a saxo but at the end of the day what's it matter because most saxo's falls apart every week, my brother raced a 290 bhp focus rs at santa pod in his 200 bhp type r and won his mate 3 times so it also depends on the driver.

Personally i'd just read the specs out to him, tell him the price difference and then tell him to get some driving experience and grow up. Don't race him as your just sinking to his level.

theres a place and a time to do it . 30 mph zones obviuosly not. if your on backroads or wherever and no one else is in danger its your own fault for driving fast etc. but wer have all done at some point . in my opinion vtr would win. get it decatted and have 4 2 1 and stainless mani on it and a decent panel filter .
