Do you literally just cut the slats out and push the wide mouth in then?
Just bond in on the back of the the bumper/between bumper and insert?

Right now we have 6 people intrested and I am hoping at some point this week to confirm who is 'certain' they are going to see this groupbuy through.

its time aswell with uni and work i dont have time to fuck about with a bumper.
if i were to do it myself i would only really be able to do it while im working (family buisness). say 4 hour to do that £100 labour taken away from work. so in that respect its paid for itself allready before i even factor in materials.
plus you cant get the look i want from not having an insert.
edit:

I have got a grp one in the garage which needs finishing before being sent out to a customer this week so i will grab some pictures of that one. This product is taken directly from old Pro comp moulds so nothing to do with our work on the design and fit front, I also wouldnt want it to stick out too far, the lip itself i think can be dressed back a little to make the part sit more flush to the bumper. We have a spare bumper at work so I will have a play with it and offer it up and put a picture up for people to see from different angles.
Cheers

I'm still not sure though. I could always make a home made one out of wood, chewing gum and a tin of black dulux :y:

turnaround of a couple of weeks max. You will need to confirm if you are wanting to use the black grp mouths in unpainted trim as they will go out polished or unpolished (if people are wanting them painted etc) Quicker the order is placed the quicker we can get them made, the mould is ready to go as we have just had a few other orders for grp and a pre preg one so will be ready to go peeps :)
cheers

Yea you literally cut out the horizontal & vertical slates and push this straight into the hole :y: not forgetting to bond it ofc ;)
I thought it was that simple.......How wrong was I :homme:
The fit was terrible,
I spent 2 afternoons cutting more and more off the bumper AND more and more off the insert to get it to sit flush.
Also if you have a vts fan with the relays at the bottom of it, more has to be cut off the back as there isn't enough room for the insert :(
Is there any pictures of the fiberglass one anywhere?

@Simon, cheers for the input m8, the space behind the insert is crucial to me as my intercooler will be situated there :n: by the sounds of things i'm going to have to take loads off to fit mine...
Do you have any pics from above showing the insert once fitted?

As you can see theres not much room, but its easy to cut down
I used masking tape to get a straight line, them Dremelled it.

Many many thanks for the pic's Simon it really appreciated, i'm sure they will help everyone who intrested in this insert, I see that you've cut it back at angle and then meshed it :y: nice work.
My partisipation due to someone reversing into me is in doubt unfortunatley :n:
I will continue to help however and I hope we make up the appropriate numbers to get the maximum discount. :y:

I think it might be easier to get the bodyshop to sort something webby?

my first plan was to have it so it just had the horizontal bar. so i may just get them to do that. shame as these look cracking but im not going to chop a freshly painted bumper up.
ross what's the u-turn with yours pm if you want.

I think alot have lost intrest in this group-buy and honestly my turbo build has somewhat distracted me from this group-buy and certainly my finance's are dwindling with me needing a new clutch and driveshaft, I think it's best if there is genuine intrest in these bumper insert someone else should start another group-buy, I dont mind passing on all contact details and appropriate correspondance if it helps.
I feel responsible for not putting more time into this group-buy and I hope I have not inconvienced too many people, many apologies.
