well i got my self s reg silver top mk1 vtr the other day and would like to know the standard bhp on it and wohat figurrs id be looking at with a race land filter 4-2-1 mani and supersprint system cheers

120bhp is what it is meant to have as standard.....yours probs wont be down to wear etc etc,best thing is get it on na reliable rolling road,get a printout and start from there so you can see how much gain every mod you do has.

mk1's 90bhp.
mk2's 98bhp.
I'd say yours is 92bhp. Say if it was 90 to start with + wear n tear = 86 + breathing mods = 92bhp ish.
Give or take 1-5bhp.
Too many variables :).

sorry thought it said vts haha.but basicly what i said is most accurate.....people pulling numbers out the air is useless anbd pointless.

i have a raceland mani, decat, green cotton filter and full exhaust and got 10bhp increase out of all that, mind you mine was a mk2 98bhp vtr but i would think youll get around the same

these thread are really pointless, as it could be less than standard could be 90 bhp could be 100!!
All depends on the dyno and the condition or the engine!
so if you really want to know then get to a local dyno for a few runs, but take that with a pinch of salt!

So your vtr is now 108bhp

You might even only get 90bhp, for all you know the engine could have lost a lot. Most likely be about 95 - 97bhp at a push.

plus, it depends where the BHP is, what the tourqe spreads like etc etc
