I have a mark 2 VTR with the under car cat (not in manifold). Does anybody know what BHP these engines have 90 or 98?

90bhp most likely, what colour is the rocker cover? (top of the engine if your unsure)

What reg is it? I thought mine was the MK2 when i bought it as it's the "facelift" model. Looks like a MK2, but has the MK1 90bhp engine lol

Still nippy enough, and to be honest in the real world the 8bhp doesn't make all that much of a difference until after 60mph, and even then it's not that noticable.

With mk2 its cat position, dipstick position, throttle body/intake setup, rocker covers are the same colour.

It doesn't make a difference at all, seriously

I use to have a MK2 with the Cat underneath and a silver rocker cover so 90hp but now my new one a vertical Cat 02 model with 100hp. I always used to think that my old gold car was a hell of a lot quickin in acceleration as my new car has no power until after 4500rpm.

^^ That's strange seeing as peak torque on an 8v is around 3000rpm and the torque slowly tails off from there

I've got a printout from AMD's rollers from my old R, torque holds around the same until about 5500rpm. Look:

No there is a definate change in power delivery and engine note as you hit 4000 - 4500 rpm. Kinda like a honda vtec. You can instanley feel the extra power and the engine note doesn't sound flat.
