Right, well When I accelerate upto 3000rmp in first gear, it sort of judders as if it's missing then kicks back in a second later and pulls again, I can't really explain it as I am not sure what it is. It doesn't do it in any other gear, it's not a major worry to me atm but i'd like to sort it out.

I think maybe the fuel injectors may need a clean, but surely it would do it in every gear?

i had the same problem but it was at 5000rpm and happend in every gear. it ended up been my coil pack but it could be a few things. its just process of elimination.

Mine is a BMC, should I just take the think apart? I was driving round with no air filter a few weeks ago but surely it wouldn't have affected it this late?

Was it doing it when you had no air filter?

My brother had same problem on his fiesta. It was the MAF (mass air flow sensor). Drivin without the air filter would have left this exposed and it could have been damaged

I didn't drive very far with the air filter off, and this was over a month ago anyway, i've just had my exhaust re fitted and it's started doing it, I know it could be a million and one things, just something I want to sort out.

How much is a new coil pack?

i'd say coil pack too, thats how mine started will do it in all gears once it's gone, feels more like a clutch slip at higher speeds though
