Hey guys,

Right im looking for a backbox for my 1.1, im to sure what do go for as i know its noly a 1.1 and it wont make much difference performance wise, but its for looks etc. just to get some ideas, what have people had on there 1.1's which arent too loud but are better than standard?

what brand?what size?

My mate said go for a powerflow(Pooflow) but ive heard mixed reviews about them so im not sure.

Pic of my car so you will see what its going on:

No, a 3" sportex is £87? Where did you get £100 from lol

And 2" supersprints look good on flat arches but also sound awsome :)

i dont think id want to get much bigger than 2" tbh, some people may think different. anyone got any pics of Supersprints 2" on a flatarch? Also say if i got a backbox, would i need to get anything aswell so it fits properley, any sections needed?

John_G had one, have a search for his 1.1 progress thread, looked good from what i can remember and they stick out at a slight angle which looks awsome, and you will be able to get the SS backbox to fit the standard centre section iirc :)

Cheers for you input in good to hear, i know what yo mean, my bruv has always had aftermarket exhausts and now on his DC5 hes just got a spoon backbox and its loud and if im motorway driving itll just annoy me i think, and tbh i like the rear bumper as it is so i dont really wanan cut it up put an exhaust into it. A few people have said just lower it and i think i will just do it and dont worry about adding a bacbox:y: Hopefully other little changes will happen, visual:y:

deffo the right choice mate. i drove to gloucester today. 4" rocket launcher backbox. popping flames and screaming. people were looking like i was a complete div, i agree with them. at least im going back to standard, early morning starts and motorway driving is a nightmare.

my bumper is cut up and now i need to either make a decision on putting a vtr kit on my 1.1 or buy a standard 1.1 bumper,

btw i brought the car with the rocket launcher and cut up bumper :(

Bought a 4" Peco backbox for my 1.1, it looked acceptable at the time but sounded really boring after a while. Imo Supersprint look and sound the best for a 1.1, anything over 3" doesn't suit the car in my opinion but its all personal choice
:y:
