106 GTI Sump Plug

Am I right that it's 7mm for the plug?

Just I need to buy one. I had 8mm but it was slightly too big but I'm guessing it's 7mm.

Any help appreciated.

Its definately a 7mm mate, I got one for my vts since they fit the same and was cheaper than one from Citroen lol

24mm socket might be worth a try - never had any problems using it instead of a square male socket
