hi there. was considering on tbing my vtr engine. its a early mk2 silvertop. was wondering if anybody could reccommend a decent setup and the gains and costs of it? any advice appreciated

lol - it's sorta like slang for close thread.
click on my link, then click on the top search result - all you need in there bar the inlet manifold.
Get a local firm to weld one up for you

That's Colin's ebay shop, he makes my manifold designs and our GSXR TB kits. Message him for prices etc. I'm assuming you've got the early silver top spacing (same as black top), we're in the process of making later silver top manifolds now.
The complete GSXR1000 8v set up excluding the TBs (which you source and supply) is £500 plus postage. Jenvey TH bodies on our manifold works out about £8-900 depending on the deal you can get on the Jenvey parts. On top of eitheryou need to add the cost of ECU/wiring/mapping.

You need more sarcasm, that ones overly used.
