hi hope some one can help im in the middle of turboing my saxo .
the question is were is the best place to connect the oil feed line from the block . i have a oil relocation kit for the oil cooler that has 2 two extra fittings for a oil gauge can i run it of there or will i need to use a different place. the oil line has a t peice in it also. been told also i need to restrict the flow of oil but the peice that connects to the turbo is like a banjo bolt with a small hole through it . is that to restrict the oil ..
many thanks if any one can help or has a picture of how they did it.

yeh you'll need to reduce the oil pressure but will depend on the bearing type of your turbo - best to phone the manufacturer of the turbo and ask the psi the turbo needs the oil feed.

I think most people take the oil feed from the oil pressure sensor on the front of the block, and then weld a return back onto the sump above the oil line. Obviously they have a restrictor in the oil line inbetween the block and the turbo.

I don't know tbh.

Doesn't sound like a restriction, just sounds like a normal banjo bolt - could be though. Best to speak to the company where you got the oil line from to confirm - you don't want oil pushing past the seals or not enough oil pressure.

Again, I don't know about taking it from the oil filter plate. I wouldn't though as I can imagine you'd want gravity on your side with regards to oil getting to the turbo so having the feed coming from the bottom of the engine doesn't sound great to me tbh.

Get an adapter, something like this - http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/products/ProductDetail.asp?cls=MSPORT&pcode=LMA074

and run the oil feed from the oil pressure switch as that's where a lot of people have run it with no problems - it's what I'd do.

thats great m8 thanks for the help the oil line came with the adapter a 3 way one ...... i understand what your getting at about the feed to the turbo .... i just thought the oil pump would push it through the line of the relocation plate

its the two extra bolt bits on this pic was gonna run it from there

Yeh thre will be oil pressure, but if you fit a restrictor then will it be enough to feed the turbo?

I'm no expert on it, I'm just speculating - I'd try and do it how everyone else has.

have a look on www.dp-engineering.nl they have a t piece that allows for a take off from the pressure sensor ;D not too expensive, i used something similar.
drop an email to the guy at dp engineering, he is shit hot and will help you out. was good as gold with me.
cant remember his name, been that long since i was in touch lol
