Seen this done before... Same Car ( 106 Quiky ) He has his standard Airfilter and box, but just hooked up a cold air feed ffrom that to the bottom grill... with just a slinky looking pipe.

would that give it better Throttle repsonce ( i don't know much about performance ) would there be any benifits in this? or just sill idea ?

I doubt you would be able to tell any difference. It looks quite good though.

You would, many people say that it is better than any induction kit and does give gains :)

It gets rid of the "hourglass" restriction so it will be slightly better but pretty much the same as before because it still has the OEM filter in.

Ive done it to mine, the pipe sits just behind the light.

if mine had round foglights i would have done like in the link

What do you have set up there mate,? aftermarket panel filter with a cold air tube? 4-2-1 mani? anything else? i just installed a panel filter and took out the resinator to give it more umph when accelerating, sounds alright but a bit boomy somtimes...

engine wise, i have k&N panel with de restricted box, miltek 421 mani with sports cat, supersprint race pipe with magnex bb.

i had a BMC CDA induction, a raceland enclosed and i found the panel filter to be better than both. with the airbox derestricted it gives a nice growl about 3500rpm
