Been toying with the idea of having carbs as a cheap ITB's option..

Been looking at gsxr carbs..What else would be needed? adapter plates made etc? could it work with standard injectors?

then i could use the predator ecu im assuming?

Just looking for some insight as to how much it'll cost/how much work it really is..

Thanks in advance :P

to be honest mate a couple of months ago i was thinking about carbs but gmc do a itb at power i think the name is the advantages are

1. dirct to head fitting
2.use standard fuel rail tps throttle linkage etc
3.look amazing to

they are your best bet mate id say it would be a better its best to do your own research into these things good luck with what ever option you pick

i think you will strggle to put carbs on a c2 though tbh mate, the electronics are no where near similar to saxo/106
its hard enough just to remap the standard c2 ecu as its a fly by wre unit, which eventually can adapt its way back to standard, hat is explained a little more in this thread...... http://www.saxperience.com/forum/showthread.php?t=291563&page=4

tbh i think if your looking to run itb's on a c2 i think you need to do it properly and thats to ditch the fly by wire system and run a standalone ecualong side the standrd ecu, and run throttle bodies, i think if you look to run carbs you could end up running into problems and will be just as expensive and just as hard as running throttle bodies and standalone if not harder tbh

i know it seems to cost money, but if your going to do something you cant cut corners and costs, you may aswell get it right first time round and do it properly, cause like i said carbs on a c2 is going to be alot lot harde than saxo/106 iirc, and like alot of people will say its going backwards a steap, and you will see alot more economical setup and will run better than carbs

If you mean bike throttle bodies you can get it to work.

Why would you want carbs, a massive backwards step over fuel injection

Andys predator hasnt been designed around the c2 yet as far as im aware, so you may have issues with the dash etc aswell as the loom plug

yeah thats what i meant lol.. i would use gsxr carbs.. as throttle bodies.. keep injection with the tandem ecu.. such as predator..

If i ditch the fly by wire.. as i would with bodies.. the predator should work apparently..

Edit: Gsxr's are injection.. soo they are throttle bodies lol.. just want to know how hard it would be to do

Pointless, just a backwards step.

You'd expect to see 150bhp with cams on a VTS anyway, so it just proves that bike bodies are a waste of time.

I will be seeing 150bhp with mine before bodies.. it's cammed..just needs mapping..

well the guy reckons that it's good for 160bhp ? Maybe a predator representative could confirm this?

lol they arnt a waste of time at all mate, do some research into it!!!!
dont just go by what rolling road figures some poeple get either, beause all rollers are different, that car could go on a different set of rollers tomorow and make 160bhp, they all vary

plus you will see just a good gains with bike bodies as jenvys/at power bodies, ok jenvys and AT bodies are deisgned for saxo/106s specifically, but none the less you will still see good gains with a set of bike bodies, and it has been proven

Thats exactly what i thaught.. Now then.. how hard?! :D
