Hi all can some one please help. I have brought my daughter a T (99) plate Saxo 1.1 east coast as her first car and she loves it. The car is in great condition but it has one anoying issue that i can not get to the bottom of. When you drive the gar it generaly runs great but every now and a gain it sudenly develops this jerky action while you are acselorating. the only way to get rid of this is to change down a gear. Its wierd its as if the throtal becomes supper responsive and this causes the car to jerk. I have already changed the spark plugs and HT leads but the issue is still there. please help as she is a new driver and this is worieing for us and inbarasing for her. reghards Innovation357977.

Hi there,
My saxo is doing the same. I took it to the garage just now and they said there is stuff you can buy from halfords which you can pour into the petrol tank to clear the pipes etc and thats what it probs needs.

Hi. We are trying that at the moment we put treatment in yesterday to see if it will clear any muck in fuel lines and the carb. Will let you know the outcome. I am also replacing the electronic coil pack as i have been advised that as the leads and plugs did not cure issue it could be a fluctuation in electrics caused by a faulty coil.Regards Innovation357977

This is a common problem... The car jerks because its misfiring
Its usually a faulty coil pack if that doesnt work look into the crank sensor.
But im confident a new Coil Pack should cure it.

Thanks Maxamus. I had a suspition that could be the issue as i have done the leads and plugs all ready and was advised it was probably electrical. regards Innovation357977
