hi guys im in the process of buying a s1 rallye inlet for my vtr, one of my mate said that im going to have trouble with the fuel rail or something aswell as the problem of getting it to idle correctly and run right? is this true or can any1 fit it for me if i pay them? Thanks Lee

you won have any probs with the rail at all i dont know where that one has come from, there is no fitting/clearence problems at all
only problem people get is idling, which is due to either the tps being wired up wrong, or no setting the icv up right, quite a few people on here inlcuding my self have fittedthem and ot had any idling issues what so ever
i mean it may idle at 2k for likea min or 2 just untill the ecu rewrites itself and changes its fuel timing and how mnuch air to let in etc, and a good drie usually helps once its idled for 5 or 10 mins to settle in and warm up
there is a guide on here showing ow to fit it, the icv is easy to do, and you will need to rewire the new tps plug on which if done wrong will cause it to run like a dog, but if you use bullet connectors you can swap wires round then solder once you have got it right
there the oly things u might get a prob with

well by setting up i ment using the right things and fitting it right, but if its all done already you dont need to worry
just need to make sure you get the tps wiring the right way round

It's not the easiest thing to fit, I spend a day on my mates quiksilver getting one on and wired in properly, sounded awesome but gave out so much black smoke it was a hazard to follow.
Remember you'll need a longer throttle cable too.

hmm black smoke....
i had that but only becuase i had 2 wires on my tps sensor wired up wrong
it was the 2 outside ones, have you defo got them the right way?
does it run fine? no missfire or lumpy ness or anytihnk? cause they are symptems of the tps wired up wrong, plus it can cause it to rev its self and few other issues, not holding idle etc

Fitted mine yesterday, and everythings fine including the idle, however when driving - it seems lumpy and laggy especially lower down the rev range, could this be due to tps being wired up wrong?

could be, here is the data you'll need for the wiring up:
Rallye TPS
pin 1 - 5v
pin 2 - ground
pin 3 - signal
Saxo TPS
pin a - ground
pin b - 5v
pin c - signal
Do you have some pics of it fitted? I'm going to fit mine this weekend.

no but on the saxo plug the pins are numbered, dont know about the rally tps
Edit: got a new idea, thnx to sophia_bush, i'm not going to screw arround with the wiring. going to make something like this and use the vtr tps: http://www.saxperience.com/forum/showthread.php?t=213293&highlight=rallye+inlet&page=16

Does it work better or is it just tidier because mines quite messy doing it the normal way. Gonna have a fiddle tommorrow and I'll get some pics,
I've got a few questions also about like what parts to block etc.

Yer turns out the guide on here is actually wrong when wiring up the TPS, I fiddled them about a bit and in the end got it working right so it runs perfect now which is a relief because I thought I had wasted my money.
I used the information you provided when wiring it up and it was right so cheers :y:

Yer I'll get the pictures up friday night for you to have a look
The map sensor is connected in the same way it is on the vtr inlet - drill a hole on the bottom left of the rallye inlet, screw the map sensor in (make sure you seal the hole with silicone making sure theres no air leaks), and then plug and play. I used the my VTR one that I used orignally, worked fine
you seen the guide, explains it better than me - http://www.saxperience.com/forum/showthread.php?t=178273
