probably a silly question but ive got a vts engine ready to be put in my 1.4 but instead of putting it straight away i was gunna give it a few months an just spend abit on the engine while its out e.g new clutchport/polish etc...

question is how long can you keep an engine stood before it'l seize up... its just for peice of mind realy..

Easily 1year+ I'd try and turn it over by hand ocassionally.

Can drop a teaspoon of oil through the plug holes to help things when you turn it over by hand in the future

i have an engine that has sat for over 2 years and will turn over no prob.
