hi im looking at buying a vts conversion
if im getting the ecu and the transponder box do i need them both unlocked ??

I have just brought a vts engine too i have vtr i would like to no this as well when i brought engine it came with ecu so hope to just switch ecu but only thing i worryed about is the car code for ecu?

If the ecu is locked you will need it unlocking by bluehawk £60-80
or using the transponder, key, barrel and pickup ring from the old car

so when you unlock ecu what does that do?

allows you to use it in any car. Disables the immobiliser

oh i see is that all ecu has control over just immobiliser just wondering to get overiew now rather than making mistacs when i do this

if u switch the ign on and disconnect the ecu will it stay unlocked or will it lock again ??
