4-2-1 to be fitted soon what do i need to have other than 4-2-1 ?

hopefully fitting my 4-2-1 this weekend, does it have to have exhaust wrap fitted ? and is the head ally on VTR ?

Exhaust wrap is not essential, what manifold is it? As wrapping some of them i have heard makes them prone to crack.

wrapping it also speeds up rusting and corrsion.

The head is ally yeah.

You want some new gaskets, and ideally you want 4 new bolts which are M8 x 25mm. Use these 4 bolts to replace the bottom row of studs as the original one's are a pain to get back in due to acess issues. One of the bottom row is ok but the other three are right behind each branch of the mani.

When you fit your new manifold, get the bottom row in first and progressively wind them in. You cant just tighten one and move onto another as you'll find there will be one or two you just can't get in.

if you change your bolts and they are m8 x 25 i would use s/s ones because it will accept the heat better than the mild steel ones,
overal it will be a lot easier in the future to undo them next time A2 is a standard s/s one we buy hundreds!
