Hi

Quick Question

I have a 98 Mk1 VTR car. wanting to put a VTS engine into it. What will be the handiest donor car to take engine from? Will a mk1 VTS engine fit straight into my mk1 VTR? ~

ive heard people say that you have to get an engine with the same amount of plugs as the car ur putting it into. Is this the plug at the front near side behind headlight?

How can I tell if its single plug or 3 plugs?

All help appreciated.

Thanks

The plugs are to do with the ecu I think. Later models had a 3 plug ecu and the older ones a 1 plug.

Unsure if it will be straight swap from vtr to vts.

Here are photos of the 2 loom plugs. Can anyone advise me which VTS engine I should be on the look out for and what all I will need to complete the conversion. Thanks

Also, If I have a 16v enigne that the loom and ECU are gone from, how can I tell if this engine will take the single plug ECU loom to match my car?

Thanks
