i dont know if this is cos my engine is generally dirty or w.e. but i have a constant wet look around the engine, looks a bit oily. nothing is running or anything. if anything it could be a very small leak cos i never see any build up just looks like someones rubbed a oilly sponge around it. i have a look if i got any pictures tho.

if there was a small leak would it be a problem?

Pretty sure that wet look around the engine block is the rocker gasket at fault.

where?

also, dont buy the cheap shit ones of the interwebz, they perish quickly (mine perished within 6 weeks, couldnt handle the heat) and dont do a good job at sealing. (talking from experience)

i ended up going citroen, paid about £14 inc VAT and havnt had a problem since

yea i wouldnt get a cheap one anyway 14 quid aint much but if i replace that i cant help getting a new rocker lol and i have a painted one red but the paints cracked alot on it and want to redo it. is it easy to paint the engine? would be nice to tiny up my grubby engine bay.
