Performance help

I'm still a novice with cars ,i have a saxo scandal 1.0 its my first car so i don't really want to spend lots of cash ,because of the engine size .I have changed the air filter and have bought a back box .is there any thing i can do to improve performance ?

not a great deal as its only a 1.0litre mate, save up for something bigger,

well thats what i thought but had an insurance quote for a vtr and its well out of my budget .do 1.2 - 1.4 still shift , and is there more you can do to them ive been advised to change my header to make mine quicker,but seams like wasted money .

iv got a furio and its fairly nippy, yeh you can change allsorts on the 1.4s because there vitrually the same as the vtr

1.4 not 8valve are they but yeah ill look around for them if there going to be easy to mod .
