Rocker cover rubber gasket split? is it ok?.....was wondering is it ok or should i get a replacement from ebay for a fiver? have noticed that this is quite common on saxo's.
It is only split round the corners and slightly along the straight bit.
Thanks

It wont be a major problem but they're only a a fiver so you might aswell replace it .

They last quite well considering, but they are the first thing usually to deteriorate on the engine to cause a leak/seepage of oil.
Theyre dirt cheap and easy to replace, will probably outlive the car once its been replaced, they only seem a common problem as most Saxo's have got the the age/milage now where theyre needing to be changed.

cheers for that mate, i'm guessing you just have to popthe rocker cover off and place the new gasket round it and then refit the rocker cover?
