I have the chance to buy a Powerflow back box off my mate, he had it on his corsa, are they good and will this fit onto my saxo?

Theyre a franchise so some are good, some are awful

Power flow exhausts are a rip off and dont give any increase in power, they can sound good sometimes though. For the money of a new one fitted you can get a few good race systems that are 10x better!! If you can pick one up very cheap then give it a go.

not true at all, my friends had his glanza on a rolling road, put the powerflow exhaust on and re ran it on the same rolling road, same day and made a 6bhp increase.
some powerflow exhausts are crap, but at the same time some are brilliant as said before, they are a franchise.
so i think its very unfair to say they are all crap.
also keep in mind, changing parts in the engine/exhaust will almost always see a change in power be it a gain or a loss and more often than not a non restrictive exhaust like one made by powerflow will see a gain.

What exhausts would you recommend?

i have a cat back 2.5 powerflow on my vtr and its more responsive then what it was before and sounds great.
i wouldnt go for a 4" though. i read somewhere that any back box over 4" on a non-turbo'd car under 1.6 will lose some power or it wont be as responsive

Supersprint :y:

Ive got a supersprint on mine and i can tell you it might not be that loud but it gives a nice little rasping noise that you cant beat, if i was you mate id save up for a straight through supersprint system or a piper system :)

IMO i disagree with that, ive got the center section and middle silencer along with backbox on my other Vtr, its not as big as a 4", it sounds amazing when driving and the responsiveness and power was quite noticeable when i put it on. But then again this was made for a saxo and it fits with no problem at all :y:

But straight through systems wont pass MOT though will they?
