I have a sportex 3" backbox and it is really deep and bassy. it is just backbox on standard centre pipe. the noise vibrates the car at low revs. is there anything i can do to sort this out. i was told that this backbox alone should be quiet. the exhaust is not blowing either. any help would be appreciated. cheers

Sportex are very loud anyway so not alot you can do unless you change the back box. If youv got an induction kit fitted, it might be worth a try fitting the standard airbox and seeing if that helps?

Mine occasionally does this, sounds like its rattling at the back when coming down the revs? when mine does it is seems to be at exactly 55mph in 5th gear!
It can be it touching the rear axle if the cars lowered, you just have to fiddle with how its sat to try and minimise this

I have got the 4inch on my furio. I did have it on the standard mid section and couldn't get a good fit so bought the sportex mid-section.
Sounds ace few pops and burbles when slowing down. Love it.

Try losening the exhaust clamps and adjusting the position of the pipes. I fitted a new centre section and that rattled. Loosened the clamps, moved it slightly and then tightened the clamps as much as possible. No rattle now. This may help.
