Hey well i orderd a new rad paid 20 quid inc postage for a 16v Rad to go on my VTR it fits great but i've got a bit of a problem where the fan sensor goes

See the original hole for it on the 8v Rad here :

Yeah there is 2 types, 1 has the bit for the sensor and the other type doesnt.

so its not just a bung ? means i've got the wrong rad ?

Some replacement radiators do have a bung so that its interchangeable between both types but looking at that picture it doesnt look like a bung to me on that one :s

ah fudge ... is it the heat sensor or just the sensor to make the fan come on ?

not to sure about the sensor, but since iv had my new VTS rad the fan has never had to come on...

well i was thinking if its just the censor to make the fan work i'd remove it and seen as i'm getting a competition spec SPAL fan i'd make a new wiring circuit for it and have a switch for the Fan on the Dash some where then i could control it .... and it would be more effective than the ECU working the fan ...

So what i can see from the Haynes guide the sensor is only for the Fan ... but i want to double check because i can't not have a Water temp guage ....

its a sensor for the fan. ecu has nothing to do with it.

awsome i'l just wire the fan in on a manual switch then problem SOLVED :homme:
