does any one know what type of spftware would open up a file with .ecu file extension, long shot i know but some one might have it

as long as its not encrypted by the application that made it, then it should just be plain text and therefore viewable in notepad or wordpad

as its not a standard or widely used extension, its possible there are hundreds of applications that create .ecu files

where did you obtain the file from?

got it from a friend, trying to open it so I can get some info from it

in that case its is encrypted, and since its not a common file type, its going to be hard to know what software created it :n:
