smoking problem

hi

i have a smoking problemwith my mk 1 saxo vtr i have a blue coloured smoke coming out the exhaust, would it be the head gasket or the oil seals if it is the seals can you change them with out removing the head

usually valve stem seals. and i'd say its a head off jobbie.
