right ive been lookin into this a while on my s1 converted 16v
on basic idle the car is eratic revving up and down, it sometime can have a mind of its own by setting at a higher tempo after being revved, once revved again however it returns to the usual 1k ish
ive tried the throttle body from a car with no problems, so all sensors on that with no joy
ive tried crankshaft sensor
just recieved a map sensor as i thought it would be this as it seems to make no difference if its plugged in or not, but this hasnt changed
what else could it be?
im breakign a p reg 1.1 106, could i use the ht leads to see if its my coilpack?
any ideas greatly appreciated
thanks

raunchz i did think that but was also maybe thinknig if summit else is buggering it up maybe its not really gettin round to doin its job properly, i suppose it shouldnt be too hard to check it over it only runs to the ecu right!
flywheel sensor isnt that the same as the crankshaft sensor? (on the front join between gearbox and block)
dont think itll be too hard to fit all the parts were removed from my tb and cleaned up

they should wear a mask and a striped jumper! its stupid the prices they charge!
anyway turned out to be the wiring to the map sensor, one wire was split. it now runs like a dream!
