I just read in a thread you can do this! im quite nooby with engines but it doesnt seem very common at all! so my question is how hard is it to do?! thankss :)

You can't bore out the cylinders to make it 1800cc (keeping the same stroke)

you basically fit new crank/rods/pistons to alter the displacement through a longer stroke (not sure if they change the rod length - can imagine so)

I think they use 80mm wide pistons (you can use 80mm pistons on oem roads/crank and you'll have just shy of 1650cc)

As above.

Not enough metal in the block between bores to bore enough out to make it 1800cc

ohh cheers guys i was wondering why people havent done it, it seems like a very big job for very little. so if you use 80mm pistons you dont have to change anyhthing but what raunchz listed boosts it by 50 bhp? or have i got this wrong? or is there more to it?

50bhp?

yes - 80mm pistons take it to just under 1650cc - but then i'd be very nervous fitting 80mm pistons to a boosted engine, they seem to be fine in NA engines.

GMC are your best bet for stroker kits.
