I'm not 100% but doesn't look like a Saxo TB that I've seen before put it that way.

Maybe it is a VTR but it could be from a silver top when urs is a black top or vise vera

Ok but did the MK1 have a black top or silver top engine in it ;)
just because its MK1 or MK2 doesnt make a difference as they were using a new engine in the MK1's before changing the design IIRC or was it the other way round :s

was three engines, if your mrs is black top and yours is 98 its not a vtr as mines a silvertop 90bhp vtr and mine doesnt look like that!!!

yea mines 98bhp hers is 90bhp only part that doesn't line up is lower bolt hole the pin next to it has no where to sit.
so original question poss 1,1 tb? vts th or poss even a pug?

Put it this way- you bought it listed as for a vtr, it isn't for a vtr so send it back and get a refund.
The important part is that it's not for a vtr.

well this is true, but could salvage some cash bk by finding out of it will fit other saxo or pug that way it don't just get binned

you may as well bin it - it'll cause you more hassle than it;s worth selling it on, just hope you didn't pay too much for it ?

didn't pay massive amount but would rather someone said ahhhhh its for such n such rather that wasting it. as i said it more or less fits just not on lower pin. bolts line up fine just not the pin

nooo bolts fit. next to bottom bolt are the pin that it sits into to hold it in place. the botton one of these doesn;t line up

could be a black top TB.
As the sensor which is in the TB, think is air temp sensor, there isnt one there instead it would be on the airbox.
