basically...

the car has cda airbox, 4-2-1 mani, straight pipe, vtr inlet, camed (cat cam, cant remeber profile) needs a map
basically what else could i do....

head work? much gains?
standalone ecu any good on a car that is only camed?

lightened fly wheel is on the list
what about the crank-altinator pulleys... worth the money?

thanks for you help :)

A Car is ready from the factory to go on the track!

You could get standalone and bodies, only wasted money there is the inlet manifold and the mapping, the rest can be swapped onto a bigger better engine then mapped up again.

ye but theres bigger better things out there haha its not fast enough yet to be able to go out and look half decent

xsi box?

pretty sure thats better than the 1.1's acceleration wise.

o rite didnt know that... and that should have the same size drive shafts aswell?

the 1.1 is about the same as vts, 1.4xsi box would be ideal. Anything less than that isnt worth it on an 8valve with its short rev range unless you map it with higher rpm. IMO.

ive got one, that why i mentioned it...

still getting 40mpg, just when you gun it or on the motorway...its not worth thinking about lol.

xsi box and lighter fly should go together nicely :)

would love to run trumpets on it but think it would be such a waste :(

Well like i said, only waste would be the manifold and the map.

i think foggy runs itbs on his 1.4 rally car on here, have a search.

Also get a VTR/VTS flywheel, will also need the vtr/vts 200mm clutch.

Cant rmemebr the reason these are better or if its not just chinese whispers, have alook into that aswell on rallye reg or somthing.

No matter what you do to your engine your car wont be "fast" on track compared to the other cars out there, so i wouldn't worry about the 5 or 10 extra hp you mite be able to get.

samueljonburgess

Driver skill is the biggest factor, followed by tyres and suspension.
