Hi,

I have a 1.1 Saxo Desire X reg, Was just wondering a few things,

Can this take one of the 4-2-1 manifolds? If so which ones and how much would it cost? Would it improve much?

Im also looking for a new exhaust, Nothing loud though, Was wondering what would fit? All the exhausts i can find are like 1.4 - 1.6 Any recomendations? Any cheap ones and are they hard to fit?

to my knowledge all 8v manifolds are interchangable, tbh on a 1.1 you wouldnt get much bang for buck. your better off spending your money elsewhere such as braking and handling, or if youve got a bit to play with an engine transplant

you get what you pay for. tbh id go with a engine transplant.
a vts transpalnt youll only need a engine, unlocked ecu, loom and fuel pump. calipers from the same model would be a idea as well ;)
if its sound your after id just ignore the manifold and decat it with a backbox of your choice. what ever you do do not get a universal fit backbox as they are a pain to fit ok

8v Raceland mainfolds go for £60+ 2nd hand so they are affordable. As for the rest of the exhaust i would recommend a magnex catback as they are regarded as the quietest/most subtle.

Yeah ive heard magnex are good, but couldnt see any that said they fit a 1.1, Im not after much in performance wise its just the current exhaust is a bit for want of a better word poor.

thinking about the VTS transplant - or buying a VTS when im a bit older... im 17 hahaa

magnex catback is what ive got and is a nice subtle performance noise and not BAD BOY imo!!! :P

go for 2nd hand mani if ou can find one and 2nd hand saxsport system lol then get a enclosed induction.... but id probally say lower it 40mm front and rear then get some good wheels with toyo proxies or similar spec get lower and uper struts you should stick to a fair few peoples arses round corners but they will put away unless they got another small engine but if your mates got the stuff like 1.1 or 1.2 etc you should have them due to corners

Ok Manifolds are expensive... probably not worth it on a 1.1, Will be getting VTR Alloys, upper and lower struts - now this exhaust, the one thats on there at the mo is all rattle and poping noises... i dont like it, i think its standard? not sure... it droops down? LOL now im not sure what to do just to get the sound changed? what part do i replace? how much and which one should i pick? links would be nice :) and how do i go about fitting it? or getting it fitted? lol sorry for being a pain!
