use 2 inch boost piping not 3 inch, bigger diameter exhaust system, smaller intercooler.
fancy mapping and or a boost controller.
not forgetting nos, that will spool it right up ;)
on a serious note, you should be hitting boost and pulling hard from 3.5k+ which isn't a very long time to wait.

i was going to go for 2.25" boost piping and a 2.5" exhaust system with a small(ish) intercooler sizes of intercooler are 550mm x 170mm x 65mm and have 2.25" inlet and outlets

sounds fine to me.
i run a fairly big intercooler, yes it lags a bit more but its worth it if it keeps the intake temperatures down a bit more, keep that in mind when you get one :y:

shortest piping route possible for your intercooler.
get a good boost controller, and get the gain setup properly.

yeah for piping route i was going to go 90 degrees from the inlet straight towards the slam panel then down onto the intercooler and other side round from the turbo round to the inlet on the intercooler if this makes sense? lol

put a small exhaust housing on the t25?
In a nutshell, you'd have to speak to a specialist about that though. What is the turbo off? The boost will tail off quicker though but will be much more driveable.

Sounds like it could be. You mite be better off using a turbo of a fiesta (t2) or an escort turbo (t3), i'd have thought they'll be using a much smaller exhaust housing compared to a 200sx and there already matched to a 1600 engine.
