is it worth putting a s/s manifold on a mk1 vtr with the standard exhaust system? also would it still be quiet as i dont want it to be loud but still want abit more response

wont make much difference in sound and would work better with a better exhaust though, will free up the revs and make it accelerate smoother as the exhaust gasses will be flowing better

would it work good with a s/s centre pipe and a standard vtr backbox?

yea any manifold/center pipe/back box combination will work :y: with my old vtr engine i had a raceland 4-2-1 manifold, s/s center section and a standard 1.1 back box lol

and will it still be quiet? does the raceland 4-2-1 require the oil filtered to be removed on a 98 vtr?

nah its just mk2 saxos that need the oil filter moving mate, if you had a s/s center pipe on then mo it wouldnt be quiet lol but i think you can get a pipe with a mid silencer to keep the noise down
i have the s/s pipe on my 16v engine and that is quiet BUT the 1.1 back box is much smaller than the vtr box so i think yours would be louder
