Is it worth fitting one of these to my car it currently has the vtr one 3.5 bar iirc? will there be much of a difference?
Ive got 708s so will the engine need a higher pressure?

4 bar fpr

Not really worth it tbh.

If you've got a 3.5Bar one fitted then not worth the upgrade.

You had a remap with the 708's?

still not mapped :( something always breaks when I'm ready to do it and I have to use that money to fix it :(

didn't think the extra 0.5 would make a difference but you never know.

Well it depends on what your afr is like.

I'd save the money from buying a 4Bar fpr for a live remap

sorry to hi jack, is the vtr 3.5, and the vts 3.0

Yeh, for boost I'm pretty sure you want a fuel pressure 2.0Bar above max boost pressure

Can't remember where I've read that though

reckon i should fit 3.5 one then for mine??? i have vtr one spare. or uprated one with more??

Urmmmm well I'm going with a 3.5Bar one for mine - if I can find a cheap 4.0Bar one I'll be fitting one.

But I only want to fit a Bosch/Weber fpr, not a cheap make one

also just wondering if the car would benefit from getting the injectors cleanned before mapping?

Ideally you want your car in tip top condition for the map, if you put any injector cleaner in witht he fuel etc though make sure you do it a couple of tanks of fuel before the mapping session cause it will upset the fuel properties a bit!

Sorry should of been clearer ment ultrasonic cleaning ie send them off to be cleaned

I dunno how much it costs but i'd say the gains would be minimal unless the injectors are really bad? I wouldnt/didnt when i had mine done.

£13 each, not got any problem with them just thought might be worth getting it done to get the most power from mapping

well i would get them test first see what they are like before cleaning... your standard vts injectors on a vtr FPR (3.5 bar) will be good eunf for your spec....

if your planning on more power then, then start thinking about getting bigger injectors.

standard vts injectors on a 3.5 bar FPR should flow 150... and just cams you will be about 140 on a good dyno!

but most companys that clean injectors will test then and give you a result sheet.

That was a way to do a basic low boost turbo setup in the past. What you use is a rising rate fuel pressure regulator. They have a boost feed pipe that upon it seeing boost increases the fuel pressure and in so increases the fuel. Bit tricky to set it all up. People tend not to bother now as a quality adjustable rising rate fuel reg is quite expensive and its very limited as to what you can do with it. It does work though.

hey i had the webber 4bar regulator on and tbh noticed no difference.... the car was un-mapped but i swear i read sum where tht the fuel pump will only work at 3 bar continious?... so the 4bar regulator dont work on " standard " set up .. by tht i mean typical induction and exhaust... if any 1 knows any more please inform me as im thinking of making sum r1 carbs onto my vts and would like to know more about the saxo fuel system

I'd run throttle bodies - so fuel injection as opposed to carbs.

It'll give you better all-round performance on the whole

is there any cheap way around this i like the idea of sum gsxr1000 throttle bodies off a bike i can tig weld my own manifold up.. but management sensors etc im stoaked do i need a dizzy ?.... could i map standard management to accept the bodies?

You run standard coil pack and ignition setup.

You can map standard Ecu, Chipwizards is the only place that can do it.

Run a standalone Ecu, omex 600, data s40, emerald, predator, Kms, megasquirt.

no just have to do it the right way ie. gmc/ATP, jenvey, sandy brown does a gsxr setup iirc
