Whining noise from Gearbox

when i take off in 1st gear i get a whining noise cominig from the gear box but all other gears are fine? do i need to top gearbox oil up if so how? or is tis a sign that gear box is on its way out?

I get that, it's the bearings my last box did it for a year then gave up lol.
