Could be needing a service... Dirty Air filter, Dirty oil, Blocked Fuel Filter, Dirty plugs Etc...
They would make it sluggish.

what gear are you on when doing those speeds anyway? on a 5th gear it normally takes a few light years.

what mods do you have? for a bout £450 you could get a straight through system, 4-2-1 mani and a decent induction kit, and budget for a service, never under estimate a good service also vtr engines respond really well to breathing mods which i have mentioned as they were purposely built to have restrictive exhausts/air filter etc to make it slower than the vts
so the above mods and a good service and you will have a quick(ish) vtr

it hasnt long ago been serviced, i changed the oil twice, plugs twice since ive had the car, fuel, took the tb off to clean it a few weeks ago was fine then & cleaned the sensors up. not judering or anything & im in 5th gear doing about 45/50? i just have a feeling its not breathing propely i have a air filter box on there but i have the bit at the top missing witch the oil pipe off the rocker pipe goes on to? all ive done is got some pipe pushed it a bit up the other oil breather pipe what comes off the rocker cover the got a oil breather filter on the end could that be one of the reassons why? anyone suggest a better way of sorting out the oil pipe what comes off the rocker cover, cheers

something must be blocked then like the fuel filter or something try putting some 99octain fuel in there that will clear the pipes ect and make a difference. my vts is like that at that speed and takes light yrs to get going, but if im doing 70 and put my foot down then its fine and say good bye to every1
drop a vts or 106 gti in there. they much better and having a vtr badge with 120bhp engine ul ave a nice sleeper car
