hi there i am looking at putting in a 106 quicksilver engine into my 1.1 saxo. any help would be great. do i need to change anything like mounts and that. and is there anything i would need from the 106 engine as well

so no advice at all. and anything to look out for on the car like problems as this be my first saxo

well give it a bit of time to get replys
first of all i need to what ecu your engine is and what ecu the 106 engine is? if both engines are single plug or both are three plugs ecus then its a straight swap to do it on the cheap you just need the engine (complete), unlocked ecu and i think you will need a 1.4 saxo loom as i think 106 ones wont plug in to the saxo interior loom

Any reason for going for the 1.4 8v over a 1.6 16v?
Its fairly simple to swap if you get everything to match up. As said, 1 plug ecu to 1 plug ecu or same with 3 plugs.
Otherwise you have to chop up wires.

cause i am getting the engine gearbox ecu loom driveshafts, alloys and a quicksilver interior for 120 quid think that a good deal really
