which exhaust manifold would fit a 1.1 8v mk2 I have been looking at the sportex ones designed for saxo mk2's with 8v engines so would it fit mine

also has anyone used a 4 branch exhuast manifold on a 1.1 and what does it do to the sound. And what one did you use on yours

Is the oil filter the weird plastic ones on yours? As if so it needs relocating, not hard but a bit of a faff! As for having a 421 on a 1.1, I haven't seen it yet but I don't imagine the gains will be massive

iv got a 4 2 1 on my 1.1 spi with the cat under the floor so it could fit yours but might de cat it. it fitted perfectly fine and any manifold from an 8v engine will fit. to mine it made it have a little more power sounded a bit louded and reved a bit easier. not worth doing if im honest. but there is some gains very small though

im not really after power gains really im more concerned about the noise if its good. I want a 1.4 or 1.6 8v engine anyway so I will have a manifold that will fit my second car

how do I move the oil filter and where do I move it to because mine is the oil filter in the plastic case

you could get the raceland 4-1 manifold (http://www.kamracing.co.uk/index.php/citroen/citroen-saxo/saxo-exhaust/exhaust-manifold/raceland-4-1-manifold-citroen-saxo-8v-mk2.html) so there are no fitment issues. Usually works out cheaper.

I think I will thanks for the help mate im going to buy a http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/RACELAND-T304-MANIFOLD-CITROEN-SAXO-PEUGEOT-106-8V-ph2-/200496451636?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item2eae851034

would this fit cause I thought all 8v manifolds will fit and a 4-1 dont require re-location of the oil filter. Am I right in this

no actually il get it from kam racing because it is cheaper postage and rather buy from this country and has had good reviews off all people on here

421 sportex ive hear aint that good. get the raceland. and the 4-1 will straight fit, the 4-2-1 will need oil filter relocating which will require a few extra bits n bobs. ( about 25 quid ish IIRC) You see more gains from a bigger engine If im right in saying. If you want noise just get a full SS Exhaust system.

im getting a manifold and a devil back box because my car already has a standard boxless centre section so thats my plan and fitting a home made open induction kit

sportex manifolds are pretty shodly made and dont line up properly better of with the raceland manifolds mate :y:

You don't have to move the oil Filter, I have Piper 4-1 Manifold and I didn't move the filter, my 4-2-1 before also fitted without moving the Filter. And in my experience all Mk2 Manifolds will fit Mk2 1.1, 1.4 and 1.6 VTR's but not VTS as they need VTS manifolds. :)

Im getting a raceland 4-1 manifold, raceland enclosed induction kit, peco back box and G-max lowering springs and giving it a full service replacing things with good things because dont know if it has got good oil, spark plugs and its just got a standard air filter
