ok i have a saxo vtr 1999 and on the parkers guide it says my car has 100bhp but its only a mk1. its says up to 98 have 90bhp then 1999 have 100bhp.
also by looks can you tell the difference between a vts/vtr
would relli love to no about the 100bhp because my car has full straight threw been remapped but havent got a clue what bhp it would be sitting at.

upto 2000 vtr was 90bhp, after that 98bhp

Not True, 2001 was the transition year. Look at the stickies for more info on the different R Engines.

as above some early 2001's up to around february manufacture date were also 90bhp's iirc

My understanding is that the silver top engines are 98BHP and black top is 90BHP

i heard if you paint you engine red it will gain 20 BHP
