Is a mk1 vtr starter the same for a mk2 vts??

As question above, my starters gone on my car, my mate has one for us but i need to know if it'll fit??
needs done today

also, anyone know how long of a job it is? and how hard? my mate is coming up to help anyway and he's done them on these cars before

I'm using a mk1 vtr starter motor on a vts engine so it should be the same, might be a difference in the wiring but you can check. Starter motr is pretty easy to change tbh, just 3 bolts. Can be a bit tricky getting to it though!
