ive got a diesel and i was going to get an exhaust for it, but some people said to me that there would be no point because i would simply lose power if i got a new exhaust because its a diesel?
would it really effect my engine that much?

Performance, no idea but it would sound better and mask the incredibly noisy engine

yeah that was the plan,
i know its not going to make it any faster because its like gettting power out of a stone its not gonna happen with a diesel lol i just wanted to make it sound better

Have you tried speaking to ppl on the Turbo Diesel owners club? failing that I'm pretty sure that there are deisel only tuning companmies who could probably help you out.

have you tried getting a tuning box/re-map to enhance the power and torque , a front mount would be incredibly useful

Sorry can't re-map your diesel, it's mechanical.
Up the fueling and boost.

exhaust will help to a degree but with a 1.5 diesel its a case of flogging the dead horse. I had a near enough open pipe on my 300Tdi comp motor, made a lovely noise with lots of turbo whistle and made for better throttle response but everything on the engine had been played around with. With the 1.5 the options for tuning are negligible but someones got to try, if you have any sucess let me know, i've got a 106 diesel and performance can best be described as stagnant lol

Its so gutless you have to argue whats the point!
The key to pedalling the work van fast is momentum. We have ours fitted with some Bilstein B4 dampers (http://www.kamracing.co.uk/index.php/citroen/citroen-saxo/saxo-suspension/shock-absorbers/citroen-saxo-bilstein-b4-dampers.html) so its got reasonable handling (certainly better than the oe dampers) and I fitted a CG-Lock (http://www.kamracing.co.uk/index.php/cg-lock-seatbelt-stability-device-1.html) so I can throw the vehicle around glued to my seat so now I brake a lot less :D
