might be a silly question here but is there any way of telling if a car has been re-mapped? ive seen of some pretty impressive cars in my vts so makes it hard for me to belive its just been cammed!

What are you trying to imply? that you have raced a more powerful car and won?

When uprated cams are used it normally be remap to gain the best out of them.

Non turbo cars dont have a massive gain in bhp, you would definatley see an increase wether it would be noticeable i couldnt really say. My friend had a 1.8 zetec focus and had that remaped before and after and he only made about 6-7 bhp increase.... so youve just got think if its worth it or not?

... could just be the driver. And how the cars are looked after. Alot of his ponies could have gone walkies if its not well maintained

yeah deffo.... im pretty exited to do it... there a rolling road about 15 mins away to in llandow so might take a venture up there.. i payed 300 notes for my old gti, mot'd it n that, n thats was a proper lil weapon, used to slay most things... it was the quickest gti around my area.. now theres a turbo'd gti though, but this feels quicker again

it depends on the car....
if nothing has been done to it you wont see any gain if its bee changed mechanicaly then a re-map will provide better figures....

Yea my friend had a few little mods nothing as far as cams but a straight through exhaust and a induction kit, but 6-7bhp wasnt bad gains considering
