Ok, so once the supersprint is cut, it will potentially slide into the magnex, so instead of welding, couldn't it be clamped?

iirc Magnex has a different fitting to other zorst' systems, where as ssprint use the OEM fitting and hangers.. magnex dont.
Try to avoid welding the system in as much as possible, but if needs must you may have too.
If i were you just try and get a magnex catback system.

but as the picture shows above, if your cutting the s/s back and sliding it into the magnex there would be no need to weld as a clamp would be necessary enough to hold the pipes together. Unless I'm misreading the picture.?

I have a magnex backbox and had to bodge it to fit the standard centre pipe, supersprint centre pipes are 50mm wide and the pipe coming out of the magnex is around 52-53 mm wide.
Try find a magnex decat pipe that's what I'm doing

Which answers my question. If the s/s is 50mm and themagnex is 52mm-53mm then once the s/s is cut back enough you can slide the s/s into the magnex and clamp them together. No need for welding etc providing that it's a tight fit.

don't know why people go out their way to source parts of exhausts that don't fit.
Either buy a supersprint backbox to fit the supersprint centre section, or buy the magnex backbox and the magnex centre section.

i had to weld mine, as said above about the diameter being slightly larger.
You could always fabricate a reducer to fit between the centerpipe and the backbox for the clamp. But personally i just went with the welder because im lazy and its easy and wont blow :P

sorry for the double post, i went for the mix because i got the magnex cheap and then a few weeks down the line the shop didnt have a magnex centerpipe in stock so i just got the supersprint pipe.

I have got a supersprint centre and have just got a magnex for fairly cheap which is why I've gone down this route. It's personal preference at the end of the day.
