VTR revving it's tits off

Just transplanted my VTR into my ax, but it's revving it's tits off when i start it up.
Any idea what could be causing this? Faulty sensor etc???
(and no, my throttle body isn't brroken lol)

do u mean the revs stay at 3k? or fluctuate up and down?

It a single or 3 plug ecu'd engine?

Single plug ecu, blacktop.
It starts, but the revs quickly rise to about 3/4k rpm and don't fluctuate. If anything they increase very slowly.

Idle control valve maybe?

Yea i had the same problem on my 1.1, the ICV was disconnected

ICV is defo connected, and i heard the engine running in another car, so i know it's good.
I think i'm gonna disconect the battery and let it reset itself.

clean the icv with some carb cleaner.
Make sure inlet bolts are tight so its not sucking in air from the seals.

As Steve said check all the bolts on the inlet manifold make sure none of the o rings have slipped out also double check all the pipes and plugs.

Couple of dodgy wires going to the tps.
