Mate thats not how you control boost you will loose boost if you do that.

the best way is either to change the sping in the acuator to a 5-6psi rated spring and use a bleed valve or electric boost controller but they are more expencive.

if you are wanting to learn -then first thing you need is accurate data,so when you are asking for help you can give exact details of what and when its happening .

with accurate gauges you can drive car and watch the boostand back off it gets too high --then go adjust something .
the obvious aanswer is fit a 7psi acutator

turbo on 306 td run at around 13psi boost standard. shortening the waistgate arm increases boost this is done by unclipping the circlip off the waistgate arm and rotating clockwise fully 1 turn to increase by 1 psi boost. to decrease boost just rotate anti-clockwise. this is a general rule of thumb and may vary on diff turbo models. thats for a kkk turbo. i used ot have a 306td and tuned it myself. as your using it on petrol be careful of overboosting like saxoman said get an adjustable boost controller or actuator
