It is a good site for getting advice and help, but most people probably can't decipher what you've written or have asphyxiated through lack of full stops.
So you've simply put a 3 plug loom into the car? What dashpanel are you running? The VTR? the '97 single plug VTS? or the 2000 3 plug VTS?

uve obv wired it up wrong then,..the tachometer is a green wire the o2 sensor wire is orange the oil is brown or yellow dependant on model.. all the fat wires are fuel ignition wires apart from a skinny white 1 with cc2 on it thts for the fuel pump on early modles, the rest is lights and diagnostics

single plug ecu is your problem, you need a 3 plug loom and ecu to do what youre trying to do

I could wire a loom in my sleep, but ive not got a chuffing clue what you are trying to achieve. Reading that post made my brain ache!
Getting a single plug engine running in a 3 plug car is a piece of piss if you know what your doing, if you don't its all going to end very badly.
Where abouts are you located? it might just be worth paying somebody local to wire it properly for you.

ryan, im going to be getting a j4 or hopefully a jp4 for my 2003 52 plate vtr, if i get the jp4 im after, im wanting to run a single plug ecuy and loom onto it, do you have or could you make me a wiring diagram for splicing the looms together, or splicing my vtr's engine loom plug to the 16v loom? id obvs be willing to give you some beer tokens for the favour of course, give me a pm if you can help out mate

The wiring diagrams in my head, but i can give you the pinout of the vts one. Give me a PM or call when youve got the 2 looms infront of you and ill talk you through it. The only real stumbling block with the 3 plug to 1 plug conversion is you dont have fan control with the single plug ecu. Means you want to swap back to the mk1 with the thermostat in the rad, or use the redundant brown aircon temp sensor to create a circuit to switch the fan on at a certain temp.

ill probs just use te mk1 rad also, thatd be a great help, i know looking at it alot of the main wires will be obvious, but i know alot of the sensor wires etc wont be lol, cheers for that, will get in touch when ive got them both as untill ive got the engine/loom/ecu im still open to 1plug/3 plug conversion

You wont need to touch any engine related sensors. Just dash water temp, oil level, temp, pressure warning, reverse and ecu light/speedo/rpm

somethin needs sorting for the rad if you use a single plug loom in a 3 plug car, as the fan on a 3 plug is ecu controlled via the engine loom, on a single plug it goes off a sensor in the rad

You can swithc it off one of the temp sensors on the block, something along the lines of

Ryan, you know wiring diagrams baffle me...

lol good diagram!! thats the least of my issues tbh, gettting it in and running so im not without a car is more important, if push comes to shove i can wire a switchin temporary just to get it sorted

Holy thread revival!!!
Iv just done a conversion from a 2001 vts 3 plug to 2003 furio 3 plug, problem iv got it there is no rear lamda sensor output and car starts over fueling after approx 30 seconds to a minute from starting.
iv purchased a complete engine, box, loom package but its single plug, im looking to swap it over and after some info. It seems not as straight forward as i hoped.
any advise/help is much appreciated.
