exhaust size

Hi

Need a new centre pipe /repair pipe on my mk1 1.1.

Does anyone know the diameter needs as bloke at Andrew Page said that they come in 3 sizes i.e 36.5mm upwards

He said it'll be the diameter of the connecting pipe on the cat

Mate a was trying to get that information for like 2-3 weeks , is it sorted now?

Went to Andrew page yesterday, gave them the reg number and the centre pipe they gave me was the one thats about 42mm.(£14 with 2 clamps) It fits fine with no leak at the cat end but the weird flared end that fits onto the back box is maybe gonna need some exhaust paste as there is a slight drip but it is an old rusty backbox ,gonna tighten the clamp a bit more and see if it will seal.

without wanting to sound too retarded, for a mk1 1.1 saxo, is a cat repair pipe and a centre pipe the same thing? Also how do they fit to the cat? The joint between the centre pipe and back box rusted out on mine, replaced the back box (was rusty as!), thought id be able to fire paste the joint airtight but seems not... so need the centre pipe too.. just not sure of its exact name or how it fits to the cat.
