just had mine done mate cost 25 all in with a head skim and full top of engine gasket set.

doing mine today £20 for new bolts and £50 odd for the gasket, funny ehat you can find out about a car with the head off, like oooooh the valves have been hitting pistons just a little bit the so think i will get away with it

i went to the garage and it wasent over heating the enigine the temp gauge isent working or the thermastat as gone but it was still getin abit hot but he put it on the machine and he said the headgasket is defo goin and since these problems started in the last week the car as gone alot slower its not pulling like it did is this what happens when the headgasket is goin and he was givein me mad prices like 350 quid. that was with a new belt etc well dear if u ask me

£350 to have your headgasket and cambelt done is an alright price tbh! especially if thats parts and labour, im gonna pay my mate £100 to just do my clutch and thats just labour, would be more at a garage though

my car was overheating mate and i thought it was the head gasket, so i took it to the garage and told him the problem so he had a look at it and found out that there was a dodgey connection to the cooling fan and it wasnt kicking in, he said normally about 20% chance its the head gasket and 80% chance it will be something else, overall cost me 15 pound :) happy days!
