If you get a pre-X reg VTS engine, thatll go straight in loom-wise. That what you meant?

as above, any vts engine will fit, but the looms only fit from the abov dates, unless you splce looms

So anything X and below will go straight in?

Pretty much, you'll need the ECU to be unlocked though.

Yup read that :)
Does anyone know anyone on here or companies who do the conversion, I have done a few Ford conversions, but would like my first one on a citroen be done properly.

If you can do a ford conversion you will piss a saxo straight conversion mate.

You think? The loom's seem pretty straight forward.
I am just confused with unlocking my ECU, just got to read more on that.
Am I right in thinking I need the VTS manifold? Will I need the VTS downpipe aswell?
Will it mate up to my VTR catback?

Looms a piece of piss if its the same year, its like playing with lego, just plugging everything in.
Unlocking the ECU is pretty easy, just rip out the immobilisor box (small black box up behind glovebox, size of a cigarette packet) whilst the engine is running in the donor car.
Yeah you'll need the VTS manifold, just try and get as much as possible in with the deal when you're buying the VTS lump.

Will I need to unlock my VTR ECU before I plug in an unlocked VTS ecu?
I am browsing the web now, wish I had my membership on here, my paypal is messed up GRRRRR!!!

No No No,
Doesn't really matter about unlocking the VTR ecu, unless you're planning on selling it.
The VTS ECU needs to be unlocked. So the person you buy the engine off needs to unlock it before they remove the engine.

If you do buy an engine and the geezer sells you a locked ECU with it then don't panic. Theres a guy on here called ryanmt who will unlock it for a small fee.
It happens all the time, people sell engines on ebay claiming the ECU is unlocked, then they come on here starting a thread.. "Just finished engine conversion, car wont start, got a key warning light on dash" lol.

Is there any VTS engines for sale in the for sale section, I want to buy my membership but my paypal isnt working.. want to do for me if I transfer the money to your bank lol :)

Haha sorry mate you're just going to have to wait 10 days :p
Local scrapyard would be your best bet, but make sure you can see the engine running before you buy it, and ask if you can remove it so you unlock the ecu.
